Take a virtual trip to the attack on Pearl Harbor on its 75th anniversary

The 7th of Dec. 1941!  Aas former US President Franklin D. Roosevelt calls it, the “date which will live in infamy.” The attack which ultimately led to a full-blown involvement of the US in the World War II, and which led to the nuclear attacks changing the world forever!

No matter how many books are written, and how many movies are made, one can never take hold of the trauma and chaos that shook the people affected by the unannounced attack.

At the 75th anniversary of the dreadful attack, Time magazine has released a virtual reality experience on Viveport for the HTC Vive and a LIFE VR app called “Remembering Pearl Harbor.”

The VR app will help you take a trip down the memory lane of the horrific day, built through using accounts of 103-year-old WWII veteran Lt. James Downing, and artifacts from the National WWII Museum and the Library of Congress. The app stitches realistic sounds and hair-raising visuals, making the experience very close to the real thing.
